I love this song... Makes me cry also... my husband recently lost his battle with colon cancer... I know he got where he was going and has seen his Maker's face and is standing forever in the light, of his AMAZING GRACE... Only happy tears baby...I love and miss you like crazy

I love the lyrics of this song. Do you know who wrote it?
Was it Dolly Parton? |

Norah Jones has a song named Creepin and Dolly does a wonderful backup on that cut as well. It has a great country sound. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I typically don't like Dolly, but I don't mind her as an accompanying vocalist.

Indeed, me too...it's wonderful. A true testament to good country music, and Dolly's voice is so angelic when paired with Brad's.

Great song...Dolly Parton's harmonies add a lot to his song....even though I know he's great enough to do it alone!!!

Wow! First time I've heard this song all the way through. Moved me to tears. So beautiful!

In a career filled with truly classic Country songs (Whiskey Lullaby, Waitin' On A Woman, Online, I'm Gonna Miss Her, He Didn't Have To Be), this is truly a high point. Without a doubt, one of the great compositions (I wish Brad had written it) and performances in the genre. And when he does it live, fans are cheering wildly as tears stream down their cheeks. Dolly's angelic harmonies in the studio version are positively perfect. It doesn't get any better -- or any more moving -- than this.
