You know if you change this to "croquet", it becomes very PC in this era where freedom of speech is so f#*king regulated by people who never had fun and have poles jammed in their butts. I saw him do this live in 1978 and it was great. I am not EC's biggest fan (Peter Green is better) but this is one of his better ones. JJ Cale must love this guy.

My only comment is that the drums really stick out. They are not complicated in this song, but sure are well performed and recorded.

This song reminds me of a classic blues sound that Eric Clapton will always have. In my book this song isa thumbs up all the way!

Great song even if he didn't write it himself. He did a lot of other people's songs but he sure does them well!

'Cocaine' is done so well by Clapton, few people realize that it was written (and recorded) by JJ Cale several years earlier. Clapton's version has a smoothness and casualness missing from Cale's version (you almost miss the very staccato percussion); and of course, benefits from having one of the best guitarists ever.
