i love this song dispite the fact that i don't have a hero(it must be the fact that it's really upbeatXD)
It says "There goes my hero, Watch him as he goes, There goes my hero, He's ordinary"
i know Dave Grohl came from Nirvana and what not but seriously, how in the hell is 'teen spirit' anything like this song??
he sings this; THERE GOS MY HERO, SARGENT GROHL!!!!!! WATCH HIM AS HE GOS!!!!!! or something like that.
This song IS NOT about Kurt. Dave Grohl says it's about everyday-her o e s , as he didn't have any heroes growing up.

Good call Gina. I've heard that too, and I was never sure. I mean, it makes sense.
Do you know for sure? |

I believe the story behind this song is that David Grohl wrote it as an honor of rememberance for Kurt Cobain. He didn't agree with the way Kurt died but he wanted to share with us his bond when they were in Nirvana. I find it touching and inspiring in that way we should all remember Kurt Cobain as opposed to how he died.
