Lol I was soooo happy when I saw the first ep of House, and then this song came on as the theme. It sort of just cemented my love of the show =D Such a great choice! Some other great songs by them that have a similar kind of feel are Black Milk, Dissolved Girl, and Angel, although they are a bit darker sounding imo.

I actually got into this band because of House when I first saw Season 1, but it had been so long since I youtubed the band. Then, they pop up on my Freezepop station, and lo and behold, I'm youtubing again, and saving the names of the songs for purchase later!

Tips to the people that flag this song as the "House" song: listen to the entire album Mezzanine, it's all good. It will change your perspective.

Regardless.. . in terms of the song, it is kind of weird. I downloaded this song back in the days of Napster and had a completely different perspective on it. Now when the song comes on all I think of is House, which is actually a little sad despite my fondness for the show... it takes away from the actual song in a weird way.

I'm sad to hear someone say House is poorly written. The recent episodes have been pretty predictable, but the stories playing out have been building up for several seasons now. I've grown quite attached to the characters.
And Hugh Laurie is cool :) Not only is he such a talented actor, he even plays all House's piano parts. And Robert Sean Leonard is awesome too. I dunno. I have so much fun just watching those two I never tire of it. |
