Dont really care for Nickleback. Im more old school, but this song has a great message. Anyone who has ever lived through and seen their mother beaten by a stepfather can relate to this. Strong lyrics. Dark, yes, but a good message.

This is one of the reasons I started liking Nickelback. Not many male artists have the balls to write songs about domestic abuse. Men can sing about this issue, too, not just women. Garth Brooks, Michael Jackson, Alien Ant Farm, 3 Doors Down, and Dead Season also have sung songs about this serious issue.

i think its a great song. great band. ive heard a lot of people rag nickelback. mostly non musicians that cant play or sing a note. the song sends a huge message about a big problem some physically abused women have to endure. i feel if the song made one man on the planet stop and think and stop physically abusing his wife/girlfri e n d , it could possibly be one of the best songs ever written. im sure they were thinking the same thing. my bong feels the same way.
