Though officially the records might state the Beatles broke up in 1968, their recordings continued to hit the store shelves for some time after that point. It was a time of confusion as to whether they were still together or not. The internal battles and strife dominated so much of the news and just added to the misperceptio n s surrounding the four. The solo McCartney LP was actually released the same period as the Let It Be Beatles LP. |

I am 28 and my Dad is 56 so he was from this "era" of music and we had to make a bet the other night because I thought this was Paul by himself and my Dad was sure it was from the Beatles. I win!! This was written in 1969 and the Beatles broke up in 1968 according to our google search. Definiately still has the Beatles sound though :o)

I am so old now with an aged memory that every now and then 'Maybe I'm Amazed' enters my memory-banks as another Beatle's song.
And why shouldn't it? It definitely falls into the time period when the Beatles were still around; having troubles; and releasing songs very much of the same caliber as MIA. McCartney is perhaps the only Beatle to release any solo material... at that time and place... which could have been confused with Beatles output. |
