This is a song that is best with full and loud bass to just feel the music and enjoy the rhythm. :-) Great song. But that's just my opinion. Sunshine :-)

Hanna, I agree and I love the "big drums" sound that is on the Phil Collins and Genesis albums made during this period. They set the drums in a 2 or 3-story room and placed microphones high above the kit and close to each piece and mixed them all together.

Agreed! I'm guessing some no-talent (c)rap "artist" made a lame attempt to cover this one, then Pandora got their lyrics mixed-up with the original ones. I don't know, go figure. |

Sorry to burst yall bubbles, but the stories are just urban legends. Phil came up with 99% of the lyrics "on the spot" and he stays it's not based on anything. He was going through a divorce at the time, so perhaps that's where the anger came from...

not true. phil was playing with a friend in a pool when he was a kid and his friend dround. a employee of the resort watched him droun and did nothing.that s why he says "IF YOU WERE DROUNING I'D DO NOTHING". phil did sing to the man on stage but whether he did the dead (suiside) or sued for silence is undetermend.

this song has history. phil saw a man murder another man and this is what the song is about...he invited the guy to one of his concerts after he wrote the song and performed it to him. After the concert, the man killed himself....c r e e p y huh?
