But I totally get your idea about the Net, dating and how singularly alone we all really are, in the midst of everyone else. Actually I see this as more of a parallel for modern dating. Sure dating sites follow this pattern but so do the singles in the classifieds and the video posts through certain services.And the sheer amount of those venues that fill up every day shows clearly that no-one is alone in being alone. I'm actually thinking of posting some of these lyrics in my favorite online meat market to see if someone gets the parallel. I know it was written in the 70s, but this song kind of reminds me of the internet.
