@cyber bug67:
This is the theme from American Beauty, and the soundtrack to American Beauty was composed by Thomas Newman. And Cafe Del Mar 8 is just a collection of low-key chill-out music by various artists, including this song by Thomas Newman. Do your homework! :-P |
wasn't this used in K-PAX? I could swear that the intro is used at the very end of K-Pax and not only, I think it is used more throughout the movie.
This is definitely not the song on Cafe Del Mar 8 by Thomas Newman. Same title except that it was in American Beauty by Michel Simone.

Excellent, like pure enjoyment you get from a fine wine. Crisp as only the piano can be.

This song is amazing. This is one of those pieces that makes you feel like you're in another place when you hear it.

I really like this song...so relaxing. Can't download it on limewire for some reason. =(
If you play Jakatta's "American Dream" right after this it is like the two pieces were meant to go together. They both sample from the same piano piece from American Beauty.
I can't place it either, but it makes me crazy every time I hear it! Beautiful though!

Sounds like the ending theme in Road to Perdition at the scene filmed at the cabin on the ocean shore.
Oh wow, greenonionz, totally didn't read your comment before I typed that upper part out. I *knew* it was him! |
If you are referring to the show House starring Hugh Laurie, the theme song is "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, from their 1998 album Mezzanine, not a song by Thomas Newman. Both v. good artists...
Thomas Newman is also behind the scores in Road to Perdition, Jarhead and Lemony Snicket. His music is very recognizable .

....piano is reborn with synth and reverb lix...what a transform and transport!
Is this the movie score composer Thomas Newman, who scored American Beauty, Shawshank Redemption, The Good German, among others?
