I happen to be fond of this song. It's a great example of U2's earliest work, before they became huge. The lyrics also reflect their background in Ireland, back when violence and terrorism were commonplace- - a little like nowadays in the rest of the industrializ e d world! In fact, on Sept. 11, 2001 I played this song because I found it appropriate: "I can't believe the news today/I can't close my eyes and make it go away." Some songs just strike a chord.
