Kurt was an addict who couldnt face reality, a junkie or whatever. Stop trying to worship him or make him out to be anything other than what he was. He happened to come around at the right time at the right place. Destiny?
I agree with mallorymargraf because I'm only 12 and I listen to Nirvana (which I'm really obsessed with) Green Day The White Stripes Led Zepplin Foo Fighters Jack White Beck Butthole Surfers The Black Keys The Meat Puppets also Red Hot Chili Prppers and Rush and Switchfoot but my age doesn't really matter :)

always loved nirvana's acoustic better than their studio stuff... covers doubly so.

Oh wow I had the lyrics wrong I always thought he said "I knew a lady who came from the loo, bit by a dog with a rabid tooth" Very cool song "Thumbs up"
Actually the live version was recorded on the MTV uplugged set in New York. I believe the only guest musician they had with them was Pat Smear. They definitely covered their song, the Meat Puppets that is. I remember watching the unplugged set when I was in the sixth grade. That's about the time I dicscovered "real" music.

Yeah, this is the Meat Puppets on Guitar/Bass I believe. Kurt (Cobain) sings it because the guitar part is no fun if you have to sing it too.
totally reminds me of seventh grade, too - hahahaha saturday night live was their premiere and then everybody was buzzing about them when we got back to sch
That's not funny. I had a friend; she was a very special friend of mine and through my own wickedness, treachery and diabolical scheming, she died in my arms of a bite from a rabbit. Perhaps the same rabbit this fine gentleman speaks of. I will burn with remorse until the end of my now hollow life, and burn eternally in a pit of flame next to that rabbit.
Am I the only one that thought it was dog with a "rabid" tooth? The lyrics here say "rabbit." Which makes no sense. You can die from rabies, but not from a bite from a rabbit.

Yes, the Meat Puppets do have other songs as good as Lake of Fire. One of them is "Backwater".
