Gospel soul-sisters in more than just name, Lisa, Andrea and Joy Kimmey became popular as the first Christian Contemporary group of the '90s to take back soul/R&B from the secular masses. Born in Richmond, VA, between 1975 and 1980, the Kimmey sisters grew up on stage, performing as a support act for their mother, who is a classical pianist. Signed to the Gotee label by Joey Elwood and Todd Collins, Out of Eden delivered their first album Lovin' the Day in 1994. I went through a lot of my teenage years listening to these girls and I'm still not tired of hearing them as a grown woman. Good vocals ladies!!
OOE is definitely one of my "all time" favorites. In spite of the fact that they have retired from the industry, their music is still in rotation in my music player. I am glad to see that they are making moves in the world in other venues, but like pretty much everyone else, I miss them on the music scene.
I've been listening to "Out of Eden" since the 90's, as a very young woman then it was refreshing to hear their R&B Gospel stlyle. They are still praising the Lord and giving Chritians the oppotunity to enjoy Gospel music.
out of eden is one of my favorite gospel artist.out of eden has bless me in many ways. your songs are for the youth and i believe that if there is a storm their is a way out of it. if you just believe in god.
