Pure doo-wop beauty!!! I was digging this when I was a teen. I played background guitar and my friends covered this tune beautifully.
I was born in 41 and I agree with newkirk, except most of us young teens would like to dance with a tall girl so we could rest our cheeks against her breast.
I was born in'43, but I still remember the scent of a 16 year-old girl's shampoo'd hair as we danced. Seems like this song had a special meaning to both girls and guys. A girl would go over to ask a guy to dance if there was some kind of dynamic between them, real, imagined, or just wished and hoped for. This song, sadly, was near the end of the great doo wop era. I think the group was very good...
