I think if it were to have been Paul or John who had died I like the results now. Paul rock's so hard and awesomely it isn't't even funny. I mean come on he's like in his 60's!! He rock's so hard! LOVE you Paul!!!
Paul McCartney was always my favorite of the Beatles. It seems that I chose well, because he has enjoyed a long, creative career, while the careers of the others waxed and waned.
He's wonderful because when he performs, he puts his audience first. Also, because he's a Gemini, he can separate his "public self" from his "private self" and give both the attention that they need.
Yup. Paul Rocks! In fact, he helped define Rock Music.
I love the Beatles, I think Paul is wonderful, and I love this song. I've gotta say though that the synthesized "trumpet" solo is rather disappointing in this rendition; makes you really miss the real deal from the original album. You'd think they could have gotten a horn player for this concert. . . Ah well, still enjoyable.
I believe that one can get an accurate portrayal of the intellectual capacity of people today by looking at the Billboard to 10; very sad. I am 29 and cannot stand most music that my cohorts listen to. Not sure how people write some of this stuff down and say, "yea, this is a good idea". But sure enough people buy it. I blame MTV.
I like them both equally...why do we have to make it a competition between the macca or lennon tunes? I think I have moments when I can really appreciate either...I can't decide!!!!!!!! But I have to say that 'paperback writer' is my tune (as a struggling writer and all!) You know, there are few songs or bands that one can listen to anytime, anywhere and in any mood and I would have to say The Beatles are one of those bands that one never gets tired of and as much as I like Lennon and macca, I t
"Penny Lane" or "Strawberry Fields"? Which one is better Beatle Fans? Oh...I give it a tie...timeless classics, all of them. Of course the Lennon tunes have the edge, though ! : ) PEACE....
