before age of 13, household was largely Henry Mancini (Mom's musical taste) to Ferlin Husky (Dad's). When I went through puberty and started hearing my older cousin's music tastes (from Led Zep to Petula Clarke) things started getting interesting. My brothers and I started with Elton John, ELP, Grand Funk Railroad. As my mom started listening to new stuff for the time (Carly Simon, Joan Baez) I started getting a wider mix. About that time some pop soul groups started getting broader play (Chi-lites, OJays). Then in high school started getting into the Commodores, to Marshall Tucker to Lynyrd Skynrd, Allman Bros, then on to the Elements (EWF).
