I grew up listening to alt rock from the 90's, so pretty much most of the music that I listen to is impacted by that movement or those music genres that helped to influence that music style. The later, Classic Rock from the 60's and 70's. You know; Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Creedence, The Doors, etc, etc, etc. The former, which I have just recently gotten into, is reggae. Not the current dancehall, but real reggae. I’m talking Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Jimmy Cliff, Half Pint, Chaka Demus and Pliers and the like. Mostly stuff from the 70’s through early 90’s. And from that steamed the Dub genre which is much like reggae with more emphasis on the instrumentals in the music. This is music made for the sake of music. To be enjoyed for itself and not background music. I’ve also begun listen more to trip-hop and other British influences. Gorillaz, Portishead, Massive Attack, etc, etc, etc.

I expect a lot out of my music.
