triadmarketingsystems@yahoo.co mAnthony J. SangerSrI was President of the Humboldt Blues Society for over ten years; I appreciate all styles of music although I practice classical and jazz. I have met Louis Armtrong, Etta James, Ravi Shankar, Clint Black. I was "really" introduced to the blues when I carried Jimmy Reeds little amplifier to a gig in Orange County when I was 17 (between my senior year in high school and my freshman year @ UC Berkeley). I also gave the "Forester Sisters" a dozen roses. While in San Diege recording Earl Thomas Bridgeman's debut album (which was latter released as a "Rino Record' CD,"I Sing the Blues")I jammed with Jim Croce's son A.J. at his mother's home on their two grand pianos. Sometime in the late '60's my first wife and I went to the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. to see the original Fleetwood Mac (pre-Christine Perfect). Jeremy Spenser was the highlight, although the Velvet Underground (the opening act) were awesome, to say the least!!! Do you have any idea what 50,000 fans shouting "Heroin!" over and over can do to my poor head? Then I went home and peeled the vinyl banannana skin off of their first album and discovered a pink whatev. We went to the Hollywood Bowl to see Johnny Winter and Ravi Shankar (who I had previously fallen asleep to!). We were working @ Harbor Genereal Hospital in Torrance, CA,(she as a general lab assistant with my sister and I as a pharmacy tech). We were attempting to earn enough money to get the hell out of LA and buy some land in Idaho or North Caroline. Anyway, we got to stay in the front section @ the Bowl because I put my wife in a wheelchair and I wore a lab coat with a stethascope (sp?) around my neck!!! Was that mischievious, boisterous, or morally inappropriate? At least it wasn't, @ the time, illegal. In the early 80's I jammed with Robert Cray in Arcata and nearly joined him. I wanted to graduate as Physician's Assistant @ Humbolddt State Univer
