Bio:
I like a little bit from most genres of music...
but not necessarily the entire genre.
I do appreciate some types of music much more than others...
some I can barely stand.
((Okay, okay, you've got me on this one...
I absolutely despise the music you love!!!!))
But, I do feel there's some good in almost all, if one just looks for it.
I also don't necessarily like all music from the same artist (like you fanatics do).
Most artists have released the bad along with the good,
(though groups such as the Beatles produced a disproportionate amount of high quality material and in such cases are to be commended for their superb efforts).
They are the rare exception.
I am not a loyal fan of any one artist/performer unless they prove themselves with a track record of quality.
Because of the diversity of my tastes, my friends aren't able to pinpoint that which I like or don't like. Pandora has a hard time creating an accurate station. They miss just about as much as they hit. Randomness/diversity can be a difficult trait. It's easier to conform and fit into a box.

I do place high importance on
melody,
inventiveness,
creativeness,
goosebump-inducement,
driving bop/beat,
poetic lyrics,
and
originality.
As stated earlier: good music can be found in any musical genre...
even in a genre you personally don't appreciate!
