I have a wide range of musical interests that stems from my youth in the 70's, my teens in the rad 80's, my twenties in the sweet 90's, now in my thirties with the 21st century. I grew up with Simon and Garfunkle, Pink Floyd, and yes even Debbie Boone. Thanks to my two older sistersfor that. I loved punk and electronica during my teens. That included everything from Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Cabaret Voltaire, obvious likes of Depeche Mode and U2, to Peter Gabriel and the Police. I even had the Rolling Stones (Tattoo You was my first album), Van Halen (Hot For Teacher..Right On!), and every radical young dude had to have the soundtrack for Miami Vice. My taste grew into a love for House Music and I would spend every weekend at Medusas (Sheffield and Fullerton)in downtown Chicago and then late night eats at good ol Weiner Circle. Those F@#*%&'s never got my order right. If you've been there, you know what I am talking about. The 90's brought in the likes of Soundgarden, Jane's Addiction, Acid House and more and more dance music. I attended the first Lalapalooza with Jan'es Addiction, Ice-T, Oh man, I just drew a blank on the other artists. Anyway, the Rave scene started to take off in Denver, Colorado and I began Panic Productions. We threw a few good parties but did better working with others after the scene got bigger. I stuck around until 95 when I met a beautiful girl and decided the scene was not for me anymore. Funny how love will do that to you. Fortunately she was a huge music lover and our music collection grew exponentially and I was turned on to more great music. One of our favorite things to do was to hang out at Wax Trax, Denver, and find all the old music we listened to before meeting eachother. It was romantic and educational. Well, now in my Thirties and the 21st century. I listen to everything I love and that's about it.
Cheers
