Bio:
(The following is an email response from Pandora Listener Support)

Thanks for checking out Pandora, and thanks for writing to us. We appreciate the feedback, and you're more than welcome to write in with your thoughts whenever you wish!

The frequency with which we repeat the potential playlist for a station is largely a matter of our listeners' collective preference. (And your feedback has been shared with the team, since that's always an evolving standard.)

In the meantime, there's lots of ways to push your Pandora stations from their default state into more adventurous territory.

1) Add a lot of music to your stations-- if you want a lot of variety and deeper cuts, add song titles, which are very specific, and don't add any artist names. *And when adding songs, choose ones that will complement, not duplicate, the sonic range represented by your other station seeds.*

2) Consider only voting "Thumbs Up" when you like (almost) every aspect of a song, not merely when you think a song fits well into the existing station. If you really want a strongly varied station, give very few "Thumbs Up" votes at all (since as you note these songs will tend to play slightly more often) and just use "Thumbs Down" to weed out songs you *don't* ever want to hear.

3) Conversely, instead of voting "Thumbs Down" on songs you like, but are playing too often, liberally choose "don't play this song for a month" from the "menu" between the thumbs below the album art, which won't artificially restrict your station's playlist. In combination with the above strategies, you should be hearing new material in no time.
