I'm a post-rock fan trapped in a depressingly indie world... I first caught onto post-rock randomly perusing channels on TV, when I caught Pelican's "Dead Between the Walls" and was instantly (like, that very instant, that very two dimensional point in time) intrigued. Since then I've been hooked on instrumental music - Explosions in the Sky, Irepress, Saxon Shore, Maserati. The Mercury Program is my current favorite. Shoegaze is nice; MBV and Slowdive are perdy cool.
I'm currently taking a break with garage-rock revival stuff, my previous infatuation. The Hives, The Kills, The White Stripes. Just saw Giant Drag live (the excelled at noise), so they're in there too, when I'm in the mood.
