If it don't make my head rattle, it ain't for me. I'll listen to anything from Alice In Chains and Fuel to In Flames and Unearth. Don't really have a favorite band/song because there are just too many amazing bands around. I can't stand this new pansy punk rock and emo bullshit that's more about dressing emo and whining about randomness. ("ZOMG NO ONE UNDERSTANDS MEH! SOZ I HAZ TO DRESS IN BLACK AND WEARZ EYE SHADOW" wtf?) Although, if a band is legitimately good and the vocalist dosen't sound like his balls haven't dropped, I'm more than willing to give them a listen.
