Tattered Flag.

See that flag, the tattered one flying lone in the valley?
the red one, in need of repair?
See that flag, and wish to learn its story, before its over.

"Master" said i, "Sir" called he.
"when will we retire this flag?" questioned i.
"when i feel it has reached its peak, i will take it to its ground" he responded. "for it must go through more storms, more war, more time, before it is released from its job"
"oh" said i, understanding now, for that flag represented a heart, a heart that must endure more pain, more suffering before it's lost. That heart is neither yours nor hers, but mine.
