I am a simple lady with simple taste and my favorite music is The Motown and Philly sound of the 60's & 70's. Those were the days when advertisers assumed we had brains enough to make decisions on products without the sex hard sell. When music didn't just represent the good times and feelings we enjoyed but it reflected the political messages of changing times both harsh and triumphant. For example: Choice of Colors by The Impressions is a telling story of inner and outter struggles of all races during the 60's. These were times when all people faced the atrocities of our times and the conflict of conscious it posed and decided for better or worse, change must come! Today, we face many of the same obsticles internally as well as in The World. Much is our fault for our neglect of our society as well as world society. Again we forgot to practice what we preach (christanity). Maybe more of us during this time will reach back to that time, remember lessons learned and this time pervail!
