Like most people, I like all types of music. I'd say that my progression of musical interests started in the oldies, then of course the Alternative Types of Third Eye Blind, Smashmouth, and Eve 6. From here it gets blurry, mainly cause I think I just listened to what other people were listening too, there was no autonomy for me at this point. Then from there, the pop-jam bands like Jack Johnson, Dispatch and Guster with some Phish, Bob Marley, Radiohead and the like mixed in. At this point I was all about just one type of music at a time. So next was kinda the Classic rock point, discovering Zeppelin and Neil Young primarily, but also the Stones, the Who, and Hendrix. I grew away from it, I grew towards hip-hop, Talib Kweli, The Roots, and Nas, you know the real purveyors of hip-hop. Then drifted more into rap like Tupac, Clipse, and Bone Thugs, and high turnover world of Top 40 (yes, Jibbs, T.I. and The Ying-Yang Twins are in my library). From Rap there was some Electronic (Diplo/M.I.A., Air, Beck, and The Avalanches stand out) and more produced noises, I've balanced out more, listening to everything. I've gotten really into Dead Prez, Feist, Alt. Country (Ryan Adams/Wilco) and the Dead simultaneously. I don't get it myself, but I like it all.
