Bio:

Growing up, I was pretty much forced into the music of my parent's generation- that of drive-in burger joints, leather jackets and slicked back hair (think Beach Boys, Beatles, Jackson 5, Rolling Stones). So naturally, I inherited these musical tastes. As my dad approached his mid-life crisis, so did I. His musical preference progressed to 80's hair bands and although i was barely out of 3rd grade, I felt like a true rocker when I listened to them. Some of my favorite bands through elementary school included Poison, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Van Halen and more than anything, Queen. Into high school, I experimented with Rap and Hip-Hop but that was short lived. Soon after, I was introduced to Tim McGraw and that marked the start of my love affair with Country. It didn't take me long to develop an appreciation for true musical talent and it's roots. I'll still listen to a Rap song here and there between sets at the gym or out at a club, but now I stick with songs about life, love and the trials and tribulations that arise when the two co-exist. Everything from my parent's generation to 80's to the hardest modern punk to the softest modern pop-vocal...and ANY 80's rap!!!!
