Daniel plays and listens to an eclectic range of music, and especially digs Brazilian choro, samba, and bossa nova, Jamaican roots reggae, American folk, bluegrass, blues, motown, funk, New Orleans traditional jazz, and Afro-beat. His favorite artists are Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, Bjork, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Badi Assad, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Habib Koite, Bob Dylan, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin.
Daniel has a BA in Anthropology/Sociology from Swarthmore College, and a Master's in Ethnomusicology from The University of Texas - Austin. He is currently pursuing a law degree at the Vermont Law School and expects to graduate in May 2009 and work for a healthy ecosystem and demand social justice.
