I love Doo Wop, the music from the 50's & early 60's are my favorite. I grew up in North Philly, and every day was filled with the sounds of the Clovers, Spaniels, Moonglows, etc. Many street corners were filled with Doo Wopers who went on to become major recording stars such as Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Spaniards, etc. My first published book "Sentimental Journeys, Reminiscences of a Street Kid" (Amazon.com) was written in tribute to this era. My current publication was written with 2 friends, Holly LaShawn, Farrellinea (myself) and Katherine Ross entitled "Marrying a Man, Raising a Husband" (BarnesNoble.com, BordersBooks.com, Amazon.com). I have lived fully, loved much, and have discovered that being a daughter of the most magnificant father a person can have -Jehovah - has proven to me that in spite of world turmoil, love, integrity, honor, laughter, joy and music will never cease to exist.
