I've been working with Higher Ed, K12, Libraries, and community networks since 1983 to understand and implement new technologies into research and education.

Recently a friend asked, "What's your elevator speech?" As I sit here I realize that at heart I'm a teacher and there is no short answer. Basically, I believe that technology is a tool kit with increasing number of tools of varying application and utility. The trick and joy is in matching the right tools with the right people to the right solutions. I have been blessed to be successful for a long time in communicating and connecting people to the right technologies.

I met the Missus at a Blue Grass Festival back in the 70's. I was driver for John Prine, Taj Mahal, and Beau Soleil long time ago. I like old timey, acoustic music with mix of marches, reggae, shape note, and big band jazz.
