i'm 36 now and first found a love for music in high school with ministry's "mind", which grew into other industrial tastes for NIN, front line assembly, front 242, KMFDM, TKK, etc, but what hooked me was the electronica aspects of this music, and from there i found trip-hop, and down-tempo, and ambient techno (orb/irresitable force) and an ever expanding love of world music influenced hip-hop & electronica (probably launched most notebly with my discovery of thievery corp some 10 years ago).
i'm all about sharing new music with friends, family, co-workers, and just about anyone else who will listen!
my horizons are constantly broadening and though my heart belongs to electronica, i've got firm roots in both classic and modern rock (from the doors & zeplin to pearl jam & decemberists).
parting thought: i have a vivid recollection of my parents telling me many years ago (about when i was first falling in love with music) that eventually everybody tends to stop growing musically - which is why our parents and grandparents tend to be easily categorized by thier musical preferences. of course, my youthful rebellion rejected this elderly wisdom at the time, but here i am, decades later, and i'm not even close to ready to settle. (musically speaking that is)
keep the variety coming world. you won't soon leave me behind!
