Since Grisman in the 70s I've been in love w/ Gypsy/DAWG/acoustic jazz/swing. Swing Week @ Augusta Heritage in Elkins, WV, and Galax Fiddlers' Convention are my 2 big swing outings. Mandolin nut. Belong to newly formed Hampton Roads Mandolin Ensemble. Always interested in jamming w/ swing musicians w/in 100 miles of me. Includes Richmond, Fredericksburg, Norfolk, Va. Beach. Eventually would love to put together a band to play restaurants, coffee houses (no bars). Favorites include Don Stiernberg, DAWG, Hot Club of anywhere, Mando Mafia, Pearl Django, Stephane, etc.
