I play drums (snare and a little trapset) in my school's band, a fact I like to define myself by. When I first started, I hated it, but then I got better, and now I love band and almost all my friends are from it.
I am addicted to music, quite honestly. I am always listening to something, and can occupy myself on hours-long drives with just my MP3 or c.d. player. My favorite bands are Linkin Park, Evanescence, and Flyleaf but I don't necessarily like all of the artists from that genre.
I like the fact that my appearance suggests nothing about my favorite bands and the instrument I play. I love to watch people's surprise when I tell them the kind of music I generally listen to.
