About Skye
Hometown:  Jesup, Georgia
School:  Columbia College
Employer:  Recently laid off

Bio:
The elder daughter of two between an engineer and a grade school teacher, Skye lived in her hometown of Jesup, Georgia, until 1997 when she moved to the neighboring state of South Carolina, where she and her family still live. A rising sophomore with honors in college, Skye declared a double major in English and Psychology (and debated with a minor in Music) in very early 2008. She remained with the Wind Ensemble as their Mallet Percussionist until the Spring 2008 semester concluded, but decided to take a break in Fall 2008 to open more time for her required lab science.

However, the genres of World and New Age invited themselves into her life. Ever since then, some of Skye's favorite artists have remained David Lanz, Loreena McKennitt, Yanni, Enya, and Enigma.

Eventually, the world of heavy metal, trance, techno, industrial, and electronica made it into Skye's life around high school through her best friend, who later died in the spring of 2007. By the time of high school graduation, E Nomine, Symphony X, Nightwish, Leaves Eyes, Angra, Suicide Commando, Kamelot, Harajuku, and (naturally) the metal of her parents (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Guns 'n' Roses, and Dio, to name a few) were on the iTunes list alongside Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's requiem mass, Alfred Reed's Fi
