I was formed as a teenager by "progressive rock" that came in on a low-powered little station called WLAV (Grand Rapids MI). There was nothing like laying in bed at 11:00 and suddenly hearing this bizarre and kind of scary thing called "Watcher of the Skies."

Now I don't own a TV, but my stereo is worth nearly as much as my car (it's a cheap car, though...).
