What kind of children would you have if you were a pregnant, struggling band singer performing next to a thumping rhythm section until the very week you gave birth? What if you had those kids playing classical piano daily before they could even string a formal sentence together? And what would your child sound like if he or she constantly listened to the world’s greatest soul artists, like Stevie, Donny and Marvin? Well, they'd sound like soulful singer/songwriters, Carson and Tess Henley.

Make no mistake, it's the strong songwriting skills of both artists that set them apart from the crowd. Carson's CD, Green Eyed Soul, was awarded Indie-Music's TOP 25 CDs OF 2008. This is fun music! If the piano man, Billy Joel, were 23 years young and hung out with Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, Marc Broussard and James Morrison, he’d sound like Carson! His expressive, fine-grit voice belts out soulful, catchy, piano driven rock. Carson is an entertaining live performer whose fresh sound blends old school with rock, soul, and blues from today's beats.

Tess, on the other hand, battles the UK’s rush of retro-soul chanteuses like Amy Winehouse, Adele and Leona Lewis with her piano prowess and a pure, emotional voice that refines the tapestry of R&B and neo-soul into her own smooth silk. Tess writes addictive, musically rich songs that soothe the soul of young and old alike.

The Pacific Northwest is a hotbed for musical talent, and it's largest radio station KIRO 93.7FM named Tess the winner of their Best Local Band Contest. Though this is her debut, the CD Easy to Love was added to the rotations at Play Network (they represent Starbucks, GAP, Hollister, etc) and Pure Play Music (European stores).

An admitted perfectionist, Tess says the CD was recorded at Soul Sound Studios, and adds with a humble smile: “Wow, that project was all about hard work and long hours, but when I see everyone having a good time at our live shows, it makes the process all worth while"
