Um, I like music? I hate writing these, they always come out stupid. I love to write, play, and hear music. Especially metal. My favorite band is Rush for their amazing lyrics and musicianship, but I like a pretty wide variety. And yes, Rush's first four and last two albums are most certainly metal.

I also love reading and writing stories. My favorite authors/influences are Neal Gaiman, Edgar Allan Poe, Nick Sagan, Orson Scott Card, Stefan Gagne (internet writer, look him up) Franz Kafka, and H.P Lovecraft.

I enjoy a bunch of stereotypically geeky things like Magic: The Gathering, pen and paper RPGs such as D&D or Call of Cthulhu, and writing long run-on sentences like this one. I love open source software and loathe Microsoft.
