Jazz wasn't available in NW Ga growing up. But, I got a cabin on a mountain and could hear H Johnson's program on WABE 90.1 in Atlanta several years ago. It runs (for years) from 9pm Sat until 2AM Sunday. That's how I came to hear O.P. Gene Harris, Ray Brown, Erroll, Jimmy Smith Hank Jones, and Charlie Hayden. It's a delicious program, always fresh, but definitely straight ahead. I just counted my Oscar Peterson cd's and came up with 47. Stop me before I swing again! Amazon do so love me.
