Give me mostly medium to hard-driving, up-beat smooth jazz tempos with strong guitar melody-lines, but I also like sax, horns, and bass. I prefer instrumentals but like Sade and Basia and a few (very few) other vocalists. Jeff Golub, Larry Carlton, Fourplay, Peter White, Michael Dowdle, Lee Ritinour, the old Billy Joe Walker Jr, and others. My mellow mood likes include Keiko Matsui, Rick Braun, John Tesh, Jim Brickman, Yahni, etc. I also have a high-energy electric blues and a country music streak which puts me into an "overdrive" mood while working on my projects.
