Greetings! My Name is Joseph McClenton is and I grew up in a
Baptist Church. My maternal grandfather was a minister. My paternal grandmother was a Pentecostal lay of hands healer. I was baptized when I was 7 years old. I went to bible school, Sunday school, sang in the choir, and attended church every Sunday. When I was about 12 years old I started to have some questions about the logic of it all. My first question was, if Adam and Eve were the first two people God created, they had two sons, Cain and Able, where did the wives of Cain and Able come from? Also, are the Gospels four different versions of the Jesus story? One day I got up enough courage to ask my minister these questions and was told, “Don't worry about it - just have faith.” This answer sent me on a life long quest to discover the Truth, and my truth. I wanted to know if God just lived in heaven.

After I left home to attend collage I stopped going to church, but I did not end my search. I began to read books about all kinds of religions and spiritual practices. I attended Muslim Mosques, Jewish Synagogues, Native American Powwows, and Hindu and Buddhist Temples. I learned to meditate and to practice yoga.

In my early 20s, my quest led me to join a religious sect, don white clothes, and become a yoga teacher. The first public yoga class I taught was in the Jackson County Jail in Kansas City, Missouri. After 6 sometimes wondrous and sometimes heart breaking years, I left the sect because I discovered that my Guru lacked integrity. Although I had become disappointed in religion, my definition of God had expanded. I had learned that God was a Divine Being with no beginning or end.

Now, at age 57, as I reflect upon my life, I see how this quest has brought so much joy, happiness, love, and discovery to my life. I no longer use the term 'God', the term I now use is 'God-Goddess-All-There-Is'.) I believe She is a Multi-Dimensional Being who exists everywhere in time and space simultaneousl
