mid-30's and i grew up with "alternative" music in the 80's so that was the Smiths, the Cure, REM, the Replacements, TMBG, the Go-Betweens. Also really enjoyed some of the harder stuff - Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Circle Jerks, Ministry, Fear.
