I'm a Pandora employee (SVP of bizdev) and a singer-songwriter, too. I'm moved first and foremost by a great turn of phrase, so lyrically-driven tunes are what I've got the most of in my Pandora stations. You know - the whole Lilith Fair folk-pop genre. Predictable? I'm not ashamed. :) I love Sarah, Sheryl, Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Anna Nalick, and the list goes on.

I also enjoy:
1) a great blues
2) well-arranged harmonies
3) a well-crafted pop tune and
4) a vocalist who can sign the @#&! out of a song

I was raised on 60's and 70's folk music, motown and classic rock. Never tire of going back to those roots. And did I mention Willie Nelson's 'Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground'? Wow, what a song!
