I am a frustrated musician. At a very early age I heard a recording of TD's "Song of India" and "Marie." I was hooked. Though Tommy Dorsey was my original favorite, as I grew older I developed a taste for the arrangements of Billy May, Sauter/Finnegan and the Elgarts.Surprisingly I found the Ted Heath British group an enjoyable listening pleasure.I directed almost every form of shows in the early TV days, but decided to specialize in sports. I ended up directing coverage of the Mets, Rangers and Knicks, but I would have given an early retirement to my work, which I have never mentioned before , if I could have directed a show with the Boston Pops,
