As a singer, as a writer, and as a Pagan, my preferences are for depth of emotion, striking lyrics, songs and voices that capture the spirit behind them. Give me an original, a ballad, something full of power and light or gentle darkness. Take me back a thousand years, or show me the present. British History is a passion, so music that captures the time or spirit of the people then is important.

Sing me a blues song that fills my gut with emotion until it spills out of me. Sing me a love song that tears at my soul and brings memories of pleasure or pain. Tell a tale, capture a moment, paint me a picture, or make me laugh. That is what I love about music -- humanity encapsulated in a few moments of melody and lyric.
