I like music. I play it. I obssess about every aspect of my own music and refuse to share it until it is the way I want, top to bottom.
The music I love and has influenced me is almost all by artists who aren't out for money. 'Making it,' is relative.
I despise corporate radio and laugh at people who think it is anything but a mafia, pushing horrible garbage that could be written by any half-wit. Boys with girls haircuts and precious scarves? Still, the rap guys with disgusting gold chunks all over their teeth. Kayne Daddy and 50 Cent (says I wouldn't have missed),,are you morons just f7cking with me??!
I refuse to believe anyone actually buys their music, action figures, lunchboxes,etc. They should be taken out back, with American idol contestants, Fall Out Boy, and Lindsay Lohan and have rusty meat cleavers driven into their midsections and slowly turned and driven, forward and backwards, to the beat of their own godawful music.
Then , every major record label should be burned down with all the executives inside. Same for corporate radio headquarters. Their people will all be at the major labels writing checks to have their sh8t clients played over the airwaves. That could be a two birds w/ one stone thing.
Banish corporate radio. Discover art that moves you.
