I love music that's chill and relaxed; the kind you can bob your head to, and find yourselfaccidently singing the words even if you don't know them. Stuff like Jack Johnson, Jars of Clay, and Ben Harper. To balance it out, I love bands with an edge. They have such an energy it catches you off guard the first time you hear it. It makes you pump your fist and nod your head like, "Oh yeah," and you feel like a legend; unstoppable. You can hear it in the music of Cold War Kids, Beastie Boys, and Illinois. Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Queen are classic bands that have soul and a heartbeat in every note they produce. Their sounds are raw, and hit you to the core; it's what holds it all together for me.
