i love music, all kinds. i especially love percussion-heavy pop tunes that make me clap my hands, particularly if the tune is coupled with poetic or witty lyrics. i love the format (rest in pieces). i have a soft spot for REM, james taylor, simon and garfunkel, and motown groups. i think adam duritz is a genius. the barenaked ladies are underrated. i believe in long, winding pop tunes like "hey jude" and "tiny dancer" that transform the atmosphere wherever they are heard. i love hip-hop artists like the blue scholars and common market. the beatles were amazing. the rolling stones were and are overrated. i dig the beach boys' harmonies and ben gibbard's melodic voice. sam cooke sings the soundtrack to my dreams. you can never listen to too much of what you love.
