Being a trumpet player from way back (following my dad's tradition) I now play in some bands: Many concert bands (of course, they need us!), big bands, a ragtime band (lots of fun) and I have my own brass quintet that plays weddings, parties, whatever! Shows I have played: Beauty and the Beast, Sugar, Oklahoma, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime, Crazy For You, West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie. My ambitions: I would love to get with a band that plays old time Swing music! Something just past the Ragtime era...maybe a small swing band..? I'm an extremely quick learner...also love Christmas music and I've played some great Easter gigs! I have found inspiration with our great Latin and Russian composers and players. Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera, Modest Mossorgsky,Handel, Mozart, to name a very few. I'm based in the NY area, willing to travel! Other artists I've studied: Jon Faddis, Randy Brecker, Wynton Marsalis, Allen Vezzuti, Chris Botti, Eric Berlin, Laurie Frink, Clifford Brown, Gustav Holst, Bix Beiderbecke, Harry James... it just goes on and on!
