I grew up in Orange County-southern California. In the 80's KROQ was one of the first stations, at least on the west coast to bring British new wave and post-punk sounds to the radio waves. The first tape I ever bought was Syncronicity by the Police. And I swear a plain WORE out the tape of New Order Substance. I also love Depeche Mode, U2, The Cure, The The, Flock of Seaguls, Tom Tom Club, Crowded House, and the list goes on and on. I tell you, I didn't much care for most of the music through the 90's, but then again, I was drunk through much of it. I think there is a lot of good stuff out there again and the ironic thing is is that it is stuff influenced by 80's music.
