My friends think I am a music nut, but compared to others I see here at Pandora, I've barely scratched the surface. That being said, when I'm in the car with my kids, I can "name that tune/band/year" usually within 3 seconds of hearing the song. But that is typically on classic rock stations, Jack-FM, KBCO, Alice, etc. I would struggle with the latest Alternative, Hip Hop, Pop, etc.

Pandora looks great for expanding my "micro-genres", i.e. finding Prog Rock songs beyond Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd or Dad Rock songs beyond Coldplay, Keane, or The Fray. In this time of weak new offerings, it's great to be able to find new stuff in the past.

Favorite Artists (no particular order): Genesis, Counting Crows, Talking Heads, Led Zepplin, Steely Dan, David Bowie, Jackson Browne, Alanis Morisette, Coldplay, Rolling Stones, The Cure. Oh, and Jimmy Buffett.
