I'm a big fan of the 80's with a smattering of 60's and 70's with a touch of 90's and up. But the 80's is where it's at. That decade created the most entertaining and creative sounds than any other decade (well aside from rock's birth). The songs meant something and made you feel good about yourself and everyone around you. Everything sounded fresh, pure, and new. Sounds that hadn't been heard before or ever again. You knew when you heard a song it was going to be a party. Be it at a get together or alone in your mind as you reminisce. Purely the 80's held itself strongly and it still does.
